Online Video Publishing Made Easy; Nearly Any Online Community or Service Can Offer VideoEgg Publisher to Users

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., — (March 22, 2006) — VideoEgg, Inc., a leading innovator in web-based video publishing solutions, today announced the public availability of the VideoEgg Integration Kit at VideoEgg.com. Starting today, nearly any website can register for free at VideoEgg.Com and download the kit, which includes everything necessary to embed the VideoEgg Publisher and Player into an online community or service.

While a lot of attention has been paid in the last few weeks to the video-sharing sites that have recently appeared on the web, few other websites offer video posting or sharing features of any kind. By offering a turn-key package of best-in-class video features that can easily be added to any site, VideoEgg allows established online communities and services of all kinds to harness the emerging power of user-created video for themselves.

The VideoEgg Publisher is a small browser plug-in that makes it easy for users to capture, encode, upload, and share online video. Videos posted with the VideoEgg Publisher are uploaded to the VideoEgg Server Network, a geographically distributed network of 18,000 servers powered by Akamai Technologies. Uploaded videos are immediately available for viewing through the Flash-based VideoEgg Player, which does not require external player software like Windows Media or QuickTime.
