What we do: Easy-to-use video solutions for online communities
Everyday we deliver millions of impressions to users across leading social networking environments, video sites and gaming applications. We develop rich user profiles that enable advertisers to start with the right audience. Our unique video advertising formats and targeting approach deliver higher engagement rates for brands and more relevant ad experiences for consumers.
We believe that advertising on the internet is about giving users control. We invite them to engage with the advertisers content on their terms. This philosophy to advertising is summed up by our mantra "Nice Works".
Who we are: From social ventures to social networks
VideoEggSM was born in early 2005 when David Lerman, Matt Sanchez and Kevin Sladek were trying to crack the code on all things video. At the time, the three Yale grads were involved in a social venture that was matching non-profit organizations who needed public service announcements (PSAs) with a nationwide network of filmmakers who were itching to make video with their digital cameras and desktop editing packages.
They quickly discovered that with all of the different devices, editors, encoders, and players, there really wasn't a simple, foolproof way for people to get video on to the web. They started creating tools to manage video on the web.
Understanding monetization became a focus as the business matured. Online video and social networks were two huge opportunities for innovation in the advertising space.
Over the past two years, these have become the business focus, and in the process, VideoEgg has established itself as true pioneer in the space.
Our Mission: Help communities thrive with video
Quite simply, everything changes when networks remove the friction in word-of-mouth, when democratization of media creates massive fragmentation and most importantly, when the user is in control.
We will understand the implications for consumers, advertisers and publishers. We will create solutions that balance the needs of each. We will play a key role in defining the new media environment.
